Overview
This course is perfect for union or non-unionised representation in the workplace. The course can cover both groups or just one at the request of our clients. The one day programme is ideal for those reps that need just a basic understanding of the role and associated areas that they may get involved in. This is also ideal as a refresher for representatives that have had past training.
There is an alternative Three day programme which covers additional specific areas such as a range of relevant hazards i.e COSHH, risk assessments etc.
Both programmes can be tailored to fit specific requirements and both programmes cover Safety Representatives Safety Committee Regulations and Consultation with employees Regulations.
Aim
The aim of this course is make delegates aware of the their rights and functions under relevant legislation and how they may contribute to health and safety in the workplace.
Objectives
By the end of this course trainees will be able to;
- Understand why we manage DSE hazards in the workplace.
- Understand the basic legal requirements under the Health and Safety at Work ACT 1974
- Understand the legal requirements under the DSE Regulations
- Understand the health risks linked to DSE use.
- Complete a workstation assessment.
