Overview

This course is ideal for those delegates who have need to be taught how to complete manual handling in the workplace safely. This programme is a half day session which looks at some of the legal requirements surrounding manual handling in the workplace, the health effects and the correct technique for safe handling.

This half day programme is ideal as refresher training.

Aim

The aim of this course is make delegates aware of the legal requirements surrounding manual handling in the workplace, the health effects and how to be able to complete a lift correctly. 

Objectives

By the end of this course trainees will be able to;

• Understand why we manage Manual Handling hazards in the workplace.
• Understand the basic legal requirements under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations
• Understand the health risks linked to Manual Handling
• Undertake a safe lift using correct kinetic lifting techniques.
