Overview

This course is ideal for those delegates who need to understand the risk assessment process or carry out risk assessments in their workplace.

It can be delivered as a one day course, for those delegates who are already on board with the basics and are happy to complete an in course assessment, or two days for those that would like to go back into the workplace and complete risk assessments and then have that information translated under the guidance of a qualified tutor.

This course is certified. 

Aim

The aim of this course is to enable delegates to carry out a risk assessment in the workplace and identify whether suitable control measures are in place or if more needs to be done.

Objectives

By the end of this training delegates should be able to;

• Understand the reasons why we do a risk assessment.
• Understand the basic legal requirements surrounding risk assessments.
• Undertake a risk assessment using the ‘5 steps to risk assessment approach’
• Understand the hierarchy of control and how it is applied
• Undertake a risk assessment in their workplace.
