Overview

This course is ideal for those delegates who either need to be able to complete manual handling risk assessments or to train others in the correct manual handling techniques. The course delegates will leave this course with a manual handling presentation, course programme and additional information used to help complete a manual handling risk assessment

Aim

The aim of this course is to teach delegates how to complete a manual handling risk assessment and to train manual handling to others. 

Objectives

By the end of this course trainees will be able to;

• Understand why we manage Manual Handling hazards in the workplace.
• Understand the basic legal requirements under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations
• Understand the health risks linked to Manual Handling
• Undertake a safe lift using correct kinetic lifting techniques.
• Understand how to complete a risk assessment in manual handling.
• Understand training techniques.
• Complete a presentation and delivery.
