Overview

This course is designed to highlight the link between the relevant European Directives, such as ATEX and CAD, and DSEAR Regulations. The course shows how DSEAR is implemented and specifically looks at zoning for flammable atmospheres and dusts.

Whether you are just after additional information on some of the legal requirements, need an awareness of what DSEAR is and how it is applied then this course is suitable for you.

Aim

The aim of this course is make delegates aware of the requirements of some the relevant European Directives, such as ATEX and CAD, and DSEAR regulations.

Objectives

By the end of this course trainees will be able to;

• Understand why we manage hazardous substances in the workplace.
• Understand the basic legal requirements under DSEAR.
• Explain the link with the EU directives on ATEX and CAD.
• Understand what a hazardous zone is and how it is applied.
• Understand and use a Safety Data Sheet.
