Overview
This course is designed to highlight the requirements under the COSHH regulations, the dangers of hazardous substances and how to undertake a risk assessment that helps meet those legal requirements. This course is ideal for those delegates tasked with undertaking COSHH assessments or those that have been asked to review COSHH in their workplace.
Aim
The aim of this course is make delegates aware of the requirements of the COSHH regulations and associated health affects from substances hazardous to health.
Objectives
By the end of this course trainees will be able to;
- Understand why we manage substances hazardous to health
- Understand the basic legal requirements under COSHH Regulations
- Understand some of the associated documentation such as EH40.
- Understand a range of health effects linked to substances hazardous to health.
- Understand and use a Safety Data Sheet
- Complete a basic COSHH Assessment.
